Choose at least two friends of yours who do not know each other. Plan an event (not necessarily dinner, but dinner is good) and ask them to each bring at least one friend of theirs who you do not know.
Document what your friend's friend's have in common.
[Bonus points if you discover that they have an additional "chain of friendships" that doesn't involve you and your friends.]
