I had not seen this task before, but I would enjoy it. I know I have thought about it before. Perhaps because I had a math professor who used to go on about his love for carpentry, perhaps as an excuse to discuss geometry and metaphors for changing shapes in calculus, and I used to wonder about actually putting those skills to use.
