That depends, will there be old freight trucks to take photos in and around?
Tracks?
I'd go on a "Railway History of Great Yarmouth" tour.
Basically it would be Beach Coach Station (which used to be Beach Station), the Beatty Road and Jellicoe Road bridges. Asda which used to be a freight yard, the old tracks by the A47, Vauxhall Railway Station. Then over the river to near where I live to show them where Southtown Station used to be and the dual carriageway which is there now. I might also show them some of where the tramlines used to go down the harbour.
There would be visual aids. Probably.
The old railways of Yarmouth Only Vauxhall to Breydon Jnct. remains.
I would be VERY surprised if you couldn't find people to do that tour. I speak as one who worked at an old steam station in the middle of nowhere in NZ. There are people who would fly all the way here from England, and DO NOTHING BUT TRAINS FOR 4 WEEKS!!! Thousands of them, every year. It's not even as if we have particularly cool trains. There are ALWAYS people who want to look at trains and train stuff.
i plan on doing this in and around the chicago loop/grant park area in case anyone would like to join.
YES! I'm coming home tomorrow, we can do it on Sunday when all the tourists are out!
I feel the amount of people I could persude to go on a "Railway History of Great Yarmouth" tour with me may be minimal. I'll have to find a more interesting tour to do.
