Temporal Awareness Day by Ted Pro, N Mutans
April 25th, 2011 7:23 PM
We offered transit advice to the citizenry, hoping to assist them in their travel through time. In addition to notifying them of their time, TedPro and I passed out brochures replete with tips on improving their times. (Brochures produced by King County Chrononautic Exxon with inadvertent support from King County Metro.)
We timed people enjoying a Viper from Battlestar Galactica at the Seattle Scifi Museum, then informed them of how long they had admired the exhibit, offered them a brochure, and asked if we could take their photograph.
This Task was really quite nervewracking; it's pretty clear why no one has done it before. It was fun and easy to make the flyers and to time people looking at the exhibit. Approaching random people with bizarre irrelevant information was fun and difficult. Which I suppose is kind of the point.
We recorded time values until it seemed like people were starting to get hostile.
Times we recorded for enjoying the Battlestar Galactica Viper exhibit at the Science Fiction Museum:
1. 32 seconds
2. 9 seconds
3. 20 seconds
4. 19 seconds
5. 11 seconds
