Fortune Not Cookie by PDØ Clementine

I wasn't really sure what kind of fortunes I should do for this, so I just tried to think of fun, silly things that would make people laugh when they read them. On this note, here are my fortunes:
A new opportunity is coming your way. If you don't take it, a goblin will come to steal your tomatoes.
Dragons are hungry too, don't waste your food or you might become the meal.
You will meet the love of your life while eating a magical cupcake made of pixie dust and the feathers of a flying pig.
Love is like a dumpling. It's not the outside that counts, it's the squishy, gooey, gross center.
Poison apples look just like the good ones, but you'll always know which one you're eating after you take a bite. Of course, by then you might be dead...maybe you should just avoid apples.
I worked on this task for a really long time, because I was so busy that I didn't have time to find places to put the fortunes. I wrote them, printed them out, and left them sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks. Now I have finally had the time to place the fortunes.
I actually did the placing during English class today. A friend came along to help me, since we had a brilliant idea together. A little backstory: an author is going to come do a reading at our school in March, so copies of her book are pretty much completely covering the front of the library. We decided that it would be neat to put the fortunes inside the books in random places so that when people check them out, they are bound to get a random juicy surprise somewhere near the middle.
I don't know how successful this will be, as far as people actually receiving and reading them, but I can hope, right?
