INSTRUCTIONS: The law of entropy: a system tends to degenerate over time.

It is easy to shatter glass, but difficult to put it back together.
It is easy to create toast, but almost impossible to turn it back into bread.
It is easy to make mistakes. Destroy relationships. Regret choices.

But we know that time is flexible. Now undo.

I was sitting on the floor playing with my camera, so i decided to take pictures with my beautiful dogs. Now you know what they look like. They are my pals.

So I'll start off by saying sorry to Brian. I didn't know that he had done the undoing freezing water thing. Good thing I did a couple of others.

I had no school today, which was my main reason for doing a task. This task has been in the back of my mind for a while, and since I was feeling creative I decided to think on it and act on it.

When I figured out the water thing it seemed not challenging enough. I gave it a while and thought on it some more, and finally decided that of course I can't turn toast back into bread. I really wanted toast though. I wanted to figure out how I could apply it to my task, so I undid my calories....smart eh?....I thought so.

First I started out with unfrozen water of course, and put it in the freezer. While I was waiting I decided to make toast. While I was waiting for the toast I dirtied a plate, then cleaned it. Thus undoing the dirtiness. I actually have noooooo clue where I even got the plate idea from...it just kinda came to me.....The whole day I was hyper and out of it soooo can't really explain..

When the toast was done I buttered it and consumed it, then cleaned my plate...again. I never noticed how much I liked toast until now. Maybe I savored it more than I usually do. I don't know...maybe this toast was just amazing. main_1-9-0905873478.jpgmain_1-9-0905973479.jpgmain_1-9-0906073480.jpg

Then I wanted to make a smoothie, which has nothing to do with the task. I made an eggnog peach smoothie. I'd advise not to follow what I did....it was horrible. The worst smoothie in the world. I wanted to make this smoothie just because everyone else said that it sounded gross even though I thought it sounded good. I was mistaken....

I looked up how much calories are in 2 pieces of toast, and it said 150. Then I looked up how to burn that and it gave me a fatty list of weird ways to burn 150 calories. I ended up picking jumping rope for 15 minutes. Therefore, undoing the toast calories that I ate.main_1-9-0906773489.jpgmain_1-9-0906873490.jpgmain_1-9-0907073492.jpgmain_1-9-0907173493.jpg

Then I took my ice out of the freezer and let it sit, turning it back into unfrozen water. I didn't get a pic of it unfrozen again, but I'm sure you get the point.main_1-9-0907573494.jpg

I know you were concerned about duplication (i.e. "So I'll start off by saying sorry to Brian. I didn't know that he had done the undoing freezing water thing.") but I wouldn't worry about it. The effort to capture additional documentation and the extra activities do distinguish this proof.

Generally speaking, I want to know more. When the praxis is of a kind that doesn't produce an object/event/work, i.e. an objet d'art, or a public event, or involves others or is a really obvious intrusion into others' spaces. When it's an "I did such and such" task, then I think we want to know what the insights, contemporaneous thoughts, and motivations were for you. Or, even if they're unknown, to identify that, even if it means saying "I don't know what strange force compelled me that day..." by way of reflection. Part of what we're talking about is self-consciousness, right? (cf. small print at the top of the praxis page)

What goes into the doing of the task but also what goes into the why of the doing of the task and what's the outcome of the task for you? That sort of thing. And finally, how does this explore the flexibility of time, as the task describes? What other chrononautic impressions do you have that we need to know?

Don't get me wrong, I didn't vote out of some kind of sympathy: you did it, and you took pains to document. SO much of the early stages of playing this game depend on players getting used to the processes of documentation, of self consciousness. I want to see what more you can do.

THANK YOU!

I really appreciate your advise on how to make my tasks better. I went back and added some things. I'll defiantly try harder on my next one.

Thank you,
Kaitlyn
