(nearly) Pointless by Fonne Tayne

INSTRUCTIONS: Submit a completion to this task that is barely worth a single point.

Hope for votes.

5 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 2 x 2 = 2500

[ Update: when I posted this task, I had exactly 2500 points. Luckily for my compulsion, this is no longer the case. It brought my score, in one simple move, from a square number into a pentagonal number. Try that with toothpicks.

I'm still not sure if this is over, yet....
]

What is the point of having score that ends in a 0? Right now I'm dealing with the squarest of square scores... not my cup of tea.

I like prime numbers and I don't want my score to be divisible by 5. [ I also like justified paragraphs, so I inserted this line. ] Unfortunately this now gives me a 1 to work with, and not a 7.

Nonetheless, here's the deal: if your vote de-squares my score to one of the next five primes, I'll share the love.

What?!? You're a nut! This is bizarre and entertaining!

You wouldn't really want a 7, anyway.

so i guess this proof still hasn't gotten much attention... i voted for spidere's superhero tasking after he made a prime number. crafty work indeed, old boy.

for better or worse, the sudden reiteration of the revolution by way of Chrononautic Exxon has ruptured the even steady flow of prime numbers... spidere hit 2521 easily by voting twice.

his was the first prime. submitting this task did not create one; 2501 factors neatly to 41 and 61. 2511 is divisible by 3. the following primes were to be 2531, 2551, 2591, and 2621, in quick succession.

now that the 400 pointer has inserted itself, the number's moved to 2926 (incidentally sneaking just behind 2927). the first prime after this is 2971 - the ninth vote for trajectory of desire.

this would be ms. derkins / trippy momerath.... having already voted for her a bit, it took me a moment. the zen whack was perhaps my favorite, but who could say no to a translucent, real-life gingerbread house?

herbie you missed your chance !

...and someone, ahem, actually took me up on the offer.

guess that means i'll have to make good on my talk and keep going with this little game.

I finally got your comment on priming your score!
I used to read it every day and scratch my head...
You are at 3331 now.

and what an utterly pleasing number that is.

ah... those glorious interim moments will never last.

but there are so many times when a score comes ending in 1 that i think i'll never bring myself to do an odd-scored task again....

seven twos... that is rather... round.

02.15.08 = 2, 3, 5, 4x2

21,508 = 2, 2, 19, 283
