Friends of mine moved into a new home several months ago. Two of them have never lived on their own before, and I think of the excitement I felt moving out of my parents' house for the first time. They love their new porch and talk about how to make it a place where they can relax and spend some time, but so far the heat and the mosquitoes have prevented them from really making the most of the area. The porch is also very bare, and so I chose this place as the location for the potted plants. Late last night, I left one for each of them, without any sign of who they were from.
