Take Some Notes by Darkaardvark
April 15th, 2007 9:42 AMFirst of all, we have "take."
Now, that could mean take, as in to copy down or write. We'll call that take(1).
Next, there's take as in to seize or steal. We'll call that take(2).
Then there's "notes" to deal with.
That could mean notes, as in a short piece of writing or the paper that writing is written on. We'll call that notes(1).
Or, it could mean musical notes. We'll call that notes(2).
Obviously, there were some decisions to be made. Which permutation should I do? Well, after a little debate, I decided to do all four. In order below, I first went with the obvious, taking(1) some notes(1). I then took(2) some notes(1), upon which I took(1) some more notes(2). I also took(2) some notes(2). All in all, a thoroughly satisfactory level 1 task.
Just plain ol' notes

I didn't even realize I'd slipped into the French subjunctive until after I started editing the photo.
Notes!

Zoom in and I'll award bonus points to the first player to name the nerdy musical reference on the time-signature post-it. Super-bonus points to whoever can figure out where the bottom two came from, but I doubt you can.
And lastly...

I just grabbed this off the bottom of a stack- I had no idea it was all weird. And I had to touch baritone music! Ah well, we all sacrifice for Score.

Vote for stealing my own idea of stealing notes.
I prefer the term "liberated," not stolen.
Dang it, twas my idea as well! I just wasn't fast enough...
a reference to good old gustav. gustav holtz, that is.
does rhapsody work? not on my machine
maybe this one instead
i'm working on the bottom ones.......
Holst indeed. And don't tear yourself up over the bottom two. They're from the same piece, and it's a horn concerto. I don't actually expect anyone to be able to figure them out. Unless there's like, a whole group of horn players here I've never met.
Way to go, exploring every avenue and such!
Jolly good work chap; keep it up!
