I work the swing shift at my job. Which for me means I work from about noon to 8pm each weekday. This works out fine because it means I can be decadent and stay up until 3am and sleep until 9am or so. Most of the time.

My bedroom window overlooks the parking lot that is at the rear of an adjacent apartment building. Let it be known that said parking lot is one of the most lovely urban apartment building parking lots I've ever encountered. It has a nice little grassy area and is obviously well kept-up. It stays lovely because at 6:45am each Thursday morning, like clockwork, this truck pulls in and men spill out and the men break out gardening equipment. Loud, powerful gardening equipment.

And they wake me up, after only maybe 4 hours of sleep, pretty much every time. I may only sleep 6-7 hours each night, but cut down on those precious few hours and I am an unhappy camper. And they go on for about 45 minutes, taking care of not just the parking lot, but the whole property. I'm sure there's a law being violated, but hey, I'm relocating to San Francisco soon!

I recorded the audio with my cell phone, so the first two files are low volume, but the leaf blower is pretty clear.
