A good task completion is like a fine wine... it takes a while before it's ready, but it feels real good when it goes down...

- March 25th, 2007: Lank visits San Francisco for the first time in years and falls in love

- April 21st, 2007: Lank visits San Francisco again and the love deepens

- May 12th, 2007: Lank joins SFØ, thanks to anna one

- May 27th, 2007: Lank makes up his mind to leave LA for the City by the Bay

- May 29th, 2007: Lank gives a generous 2 months notice to his Los Angeles employer

- June 2nd, 2007: This happens

- June 7th, 2007: Lank announces to his friends & relations that he is moving to SF at the end of July

- June 17th, 2007: I love this beautiful city



- July 7th - 9th, 2007: Lank's final trip to SF as a visitor, in which he has an affair with a tower

- July 13th, 2007: Moving truck reserved

- July 15th, 2007: Lank starts packing:

- July 27th, 2007: Lank's last day at his old job (where this happened). There was a going-away cake, which was yum, which said "The Bank" in reference to Burbank, CA, where the office is located:

- July 29th, 2007: Lank's Going-Away Party! (See more pics here.)

That was one hell of a party!

- July 30th, 2007: Hung over and sleep deprived, Lank & anna one load up a truck and head north. Got a really late start because the people at budget were suffering from acute auto-cranial-rectal insertion.

Special Note: Lank seriously injured his left foot at the party while attempting a dance move that was far too difficult for the massive state of intoxication in which he found himself. So the moving, up and down stairs, with boxes packed heavily enough to give the impression that they belonged to giants of old, and with only the amazing anna to help, all had a special pain flavor to it. Still not completely recovered from that sprain.


- July 31st, 2007: Since we didn't get in until 2am the night before, we unpacked Tuesday afternoon, after I had a job interview.


Then we slept...

- August 16th, 2007: After two weeks of numbness, Lank completes his first San Francisco task as a citizen of San Francisco.

- August 19th, 2007: Then a bunch of my new SF friends got together and we made something awesome that continues to be a spiritual gathering place for the denizens of the city.

- August 21st, 2007: Lank gets a job! His first San Francisco job! Now he feels like he really lives here. Want some furniture?

- September 5th, 2007: Lank accompanies Lowteck to visit an important figure in San Francisco history:


- September 7th, 2007: It's been one hell of a 1/10th of a year. I'm still getting to know San Francisco, but I've made some great friends. I love it here.
