Not your mother's botulism by Lank

INSTRUCTIONS: Look 10 years younger while burning something from your wallet.

I was confused by this task at first. Then I decided to just do the first thing that came to my mind.

It was the "look 10 years younger" part that threw me. I assumed that looking 10 years younger was a natural by-product of "burning something from your wallet". Because only young people burn things from their wallet, right?

That wasn't good enough for me. I wanted this task to be more exciting than just burning something from my wallet. I wanted to actually look 10 years younger in the course of completing this task. So I had a little safety meeting and set to work.

What did I find in my wallet? Business card from the job I'm soon leaving? No. Post-It with an ex-girlfriend's contact info? No. (We're friends, okay?) Cash? Hmmm... no. Wait!

I found a ticket for an Electric Six show I've had stashed in my wallet since last year. I think that this band, above any other, would appreciate fire treatment.

As for looking 10 years younger? For that, I solicited the assistance of Mr. Remington.

"Don't you wanna know how we keep startin' fires?"

"Don't you wanna know how we keep startin' fires?"

Electric Six's first album is called "Fire", and just about every song on it has the word "Fire" or "burn" in the lyrics.

Before Face

Before Face

This was never a permanent facial hair choice anyway. It was time for this creature to be destroyed.

Mr. Remington

Mr. Remington

My face twitches in anticipation. Yes, that is a lobster on the wall behind me.

"We're starting a fire!"

"We're starting a fire!"

The Six would be proud. I hate Key Club.

DANGER! DANGER!

DANGER! DANGER!

This was nuts. Don't ask how many hands it took to do this. (Yes, I have Jack Skellington on my phone.)

After Face

After Face

10 years younger? You be the judge! (Note: I don't always have my right eyebrow raised.)

In case you're curious, the ten years younger part of the task came from

http://sf0.org/spl/taskDetail/?id=782

where Jackie H made a comment saying

"sean looks like 10 years younger while burning something from his wallet. a coincidence? or a feat that can be achieved by anyone?

perhaps i will post a task called "better than botox: look 10 years younger while burning something from your wallet.""

Wow, that DANGER! picture is AMAZING.

Incidentally, I was about to comment that "no, sometimes it's his left eyebrow that's raised" when I realized that the camera taking the picture was...in the picture. Oh.

As someone who has taken task photos of myself holding something on fire, I know you deserve a vote. And you do look younger

I love the literal translation of the metaphorical. I'm inspired.

Way to go...this is just leaps and bounds beyond walking and chewing gum at the same time! Astonishing.
