A Clue by Kyle Westwood, Flea

March 8th, 2008 1:57 PM / Location: 54.869754,-6.274888

INSTRUCTIONS: Follow a trail of "clues". Tell us what you find.

Dave and Kyle attempt to follow the subliminal messaging found within consumer outlets...

We started at the Tower Centre, because... well, that's one of the main shopping places in Ballymena. But we quickly found we were not welcome...
The Journey Begins...
We quickly looked around and found the nearest exit...
The Nearest Exit...
Knowing that we would never be allowed back in (Why would we ever be authorised? We were onto them!) we said goodbye to the Tower Centre. But we were greeted by a mural, painted by children from a number of local primary schools.

But then we noticed something unnatural...
25!
Surely the point has been put across in the first balloon. Why, then, put "25" repeatedly in the other? This was clearly subliminal messaging at work. But, since the Tower Centre removed us, why would they leave messages for themselves?
We concluded that this must be the work of the Fairhill Centre (the other main shopping place in Ballymena), so we made our way there, post-haste!

We knew the number 25 had a lot of significance, but we could not figure out why...
Then, a map! With numbers on it!
We looked for number 25 and...
The Map!
...to Waterstone's!
We turned to go to Waterstone's, and immediately knew we were heading the right direction...
A helpful hint.
"Every venture tells a story" combined with 25 proved undoubtedly that we were making the right moves!

We eventually made it to Waterstone's...
Waterstone's
And inside this book store, we found a children's book section. Who easier for the Fairhill corporation to indoctrinate with mindless consumerism than children? We ventured inside and found two dice! But one die was special...
A die!
It had a label with a barcode on it. But the numbers beneath the barcode... the last two digits of the first group were 25! Clearly these dice were special, so we decided to take action...

We rolled two fours, and headed back to our map to look for the 8...
The Map Again!
We were about to set sail for H&M, when Kyle noticed something...
What if the two fours aren't meant to add up to eight? What if they are, in fact, two fours? We looked on the board for 44...
The Dividing Factor
Clearly, we would have to split up and look for clues!
Dave went to H&M, and Kyle went to Wallis.

With no luck searching for clues in H&M, Dave receives a call from Kyle...

"I found a clue. Meet me back at the map."
Thank goodness Kyle noticed that two fours are fourty-four!

We rendezvous back at the map, then make our way to Wallis, where we find...
25!
25!
25!!!
A bunch of 25s! All lined up in front of...
Mannequins
...mannquins!

With no apparent trails, we went back to our map, where we found...
Mannquins! AGAIN
...mannequins! With signs in front of them! But look closer at the signs!
BHS SIGN
BHS! AGAIN!
25s! These signs are clearly going to lead us onwards, but where to? Then another connection! BHS!

We made our way to BHS, and we joined up all the dots.

The sign said BHS restaurant.
25s have been recurring the whole way through this experience.
Mannequins have become a key element in this hunt.

In BHS, we find a bunch of 25s...
GAH! TROUSERS!
BLURRY TROUSERS!
But we go upstairs to the restaurant and find a mannequin, and that's where our journey ends...
The End
It's here that we realise that the entire journey has been planned out by Eeyore. Turns out he's just lonely and wanted a bit of attention from someone...

Aww.

This is the most flagged, X-less praxis, ever!

What do we win?

I dunno, but I'm tempted to flag it for the record's sake. :: grins ::

I'd feel like shit if I was the tipping flag, though, so instead, a vote, for keen senses.

And hellyeah, I'm the 25th vote.
