INSTRUCTIONS: Select a piece of artwork. Study the art for however long you like. Then reproduce the art while wearing a blindfold.

Publicly display your work.

I thought it might be an intriguing experience to replicate one of my ceramic slip-cast hearts.

a while back i sculpted an anatomical heart (turned out more like an animal heart rather than a human heart) and made a mold of it out of plaster. from there i've completed various permutations of slip-cast white clay hearts.

i imagined in my head the back of my piece, the side of my piece, and the front of my piece. they were rather quick drawings.

it was a good challenge attempting to render a 3D form convincingly without being able to actually see where my charcoal lands!

my drawing now resides among my other ceramic creations. next to my giant pencil.

I really liked that you did a piece of 3D art, which i wouldn't have thought of. I think it made the praxis even more interesting. and i am sure it was a lot harder to draw. oh, and nice hat. haha

Very good drawing. I do feel it isn't displayed all that publicly, however. I think I'd like to see you explore what would be the risks, challenges, and rewards of making that happen.

i know what you mean. i'm thinking of taking it into the ceramics studio and putting it up there, but when i did this task it was a never-leave-the-house sort of day.
i'll update if there are updates.

In the interest of annoying my boss, do you sell the hearts? If so, how much?

Some weeks is the hope to annoy my boss what keeps me going to work... Tasking at work has that bonus, you should try it, is such a high.
