Something For Nothing by avidd opolis, Rock Hard Phantom

In San Francisco, we have a curbside recycling program. Put something you don't want on the curb and it will disappear. The nicer it is, the faster it will go.
rockhardphantom and I went on a field trip one evening to find material for this task.
We found many goldmines of random stuff on the curb:

Maybe we could use fabric from these sofas? But that would be a waste - they're nice sofas...

Nothing really inspired us...

Until RockHardPhantom found something in a box of junk...

Books! On the history of theater! We knew just what to make for our friends.

We went to work on them using various methods

It's harder than it looks to hollow out books. (rhymes) Next we glued the pages together.
Ta-da! A Book Safe.

Finally I have a safe place to conceal my asprin and cash.

We made two books and gave the other to ConorPotPie
I'm sure he will find it as handy as I have.

Yarrr, me precious treasuretome! Finally, somewheres ta stash me booty befores I can get it under the safe sands o' me hidden isle. The best thing is that no respectable buccaneer would deign t'open it! Readin' material on theatre (least the kind where the wenches keeps their clothes on), it be like kryptonite!
