Skills Are Liabilities by Bex., The Vixen, Lank

September 5th, 2007 3:23 PM / Location: 37.767093,-122.5012

INSTRUCTIONS: Learn a skill that isn't marketable.

What do you do when you get a chicken, three bird callers, and free flowing whiskey together at one bonfire? An unmarketable skill swap. A grand Auditory Avian Ability Exchange. Fowl Play (Oh! I couldn't resist!).

Turns out Lank has a voice that could make any turkey swoon, The Vixen is pro at peacock pick-up calls, and Bex the Herø is part chicken. Lola had no comment at the that time.

P.S. I'd love to add any more photos, recordings, or footage anyone got of this!

Poultry Vote!

Now, I remember learning those skills, too, but...I think I'll submit my learning of Tuvan Throat Singing as my completion of this task.

Aw, but throat singing is totally marketable! I mean, just this weekend there's a concert at my college.

(Just kidding, it's a totally awesome skill and I fully approve of just about any completion of this task, because weird skills are amazing.)

Wow. You can play all three at once. If you do this while watching Maya Deren's Ritual in Transfigured Time, you will become mad.

I'm waiting for my Sound Arts History class to begin. I'm playing all three at once for the rest of the students in the hallway. Education, yes.

I am still not convinced that this isn't marketable. It seems like a gold mine at your finger tips. Any chance I could get an update that proves the incredible unmarketability? It would definatly take this completion to another level if I could see you all trying to barter for some good or services with your skills. (or somehow further embarassed yourselves on video for my amusement. tee hee) I bet Lola is glad she has people to talk to now though.

Way to show off those skills Bex, 3 reasons I vote for you, 1; those whicken sounds and your willingness to be ridiculous always tripped my trigger. 2; the reason this night happened=The whiskey which you know I love so. 3; you look surprissingly good while making an ass of yourself.

Chicken John for Mayor.

Tell me about it.
Last night at the Zombie mob, an undead mayorial candidate gave me a button that said "If I could vote, I'd vote for chicken." I told him he didn't know how true it was. He was wearing a false mustache. I told him that I knew a place where he would fit in very, very well...
