Super Vote by Bex.

September 7th, 2007 9:06 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Reward a player with a personalized super vote by delivering them a real world gift in the mode of your group's trajectory of desire that expresses your appreciation and astonishment at one of their SF0 task completions.

Perhaps use the post, or if you prefer, the tristero.

First. My respect and admiration for YellowBear's stellar general tasking grew to to a more particular appreciation when he joined with me in the personally perilous battle to avenge the crimes of my respected nemesis.

Second. I found in my extensive plastic priddy collection one blue ninja. I thought "I should give that to YellowBear."

Third. Having just met YellowBear in the non-internet world a couple of hours previous, I overheard him mention sadly that some of his ninja posse had gone to explore the wide world leaving him a little lost and lonely (as only a little bear can feel). I almost blew it by telling him right away, but stopped myself mid-sentance, remembering this task, looking like a fool as I searched for something besides "plastic ninja" that would finish the sentence. Thus began the plotting.

Fourth. Through various spy techniques, I obtained the names, addresses, and friendship of two of his human allies (including his grandmother!). I don't think I was very subtle or smooth. I'm sure he suspected something, but, being a gracious bear, said nothing.

Fifth. I constructed a SuperVote. I used cardboard, gloss medium, tape, tracing paper, normal paper, sharpies and acrylic to make a box to contain the ninja. Then I sewed a silver lamee cape so that it would be clear that this was not a regular vote, but a Super one. Then I gave the box a CareBear-style belly picture (VoteBear). Then I sewed ears, because they are proven to make everything look a little more dashing and debonair. What with the cape and the ears, its kind of a HeroBear. A SuperVote. A SuperHeroVoteBear.

Sixth. I went to the post office and shipped it.

Seventh. I sat on my duff and waited very impatiently.

Eighth. Friday at 3pm, exactly one week after first meeting YellowBear offline, I recieved this message: "Holy S%#@ i just got a super vote! You rule. Thanks! Its super cute."

Ninth. I posted this.

Tenth. I implored you, if you have not yet viewed this task, I insist that you do so and vote for it right now.

The treasure crouched inside in waiting.

Making a Vote.

Making a Vote.

First a box to contain the tiny treasure. Supplies: cardboard, tape, tracing paper, gloss medium, acrylic paint, sharpies, paper.

Sewing the ears.

Sewing the ears.

It may look tiny to you, but a certain tiny bear will find it an enormously Super vote.

Nice. And I don't think I've ever encountered so many links in one proof...

*blush*
Thank you soooo much for the super vote! It's amazingly adorable, I am very touched. (and a little embarassed) This is definatly one of the coolest gifts ever! I know a perfect little important place that it is going to live.

I am very happy to report that blue ninja is getting along very well with orange ninja, they have become the fastest of friends. Morale has greatly improved in the ninja possie since his arrival. After the shock that they got from The Vixen, I thought they may never recover.

Reading this completion was sort of like an episode of this is your life. I am grateful you channeled this energy into a super vote, rather than stalking me or making a fan club, I am already turning into a pink bear from the redness in my cheeks, that would have been too much.

Capes & tiny ears make everything sweeter! I don't know what else to say, AWESOME!!

Odd girl goes to AAU for degree as best SF0 tasker.
