Oh pinnacle of San Francisco! Oh sanctifying culmination of all our upward endeavors! Like a great cyborg hand of Man, ever reaching, striving for union with heaven. Questing to greater heights that you may lovingly broadcast your light equally to our highest peaks and darkest valleys.














































Oh altar on which I place my love of San Francisco! You are Buddha-like, perched upon your hill, ever active and mindful in your stillness. Yet, like the staff of Lord Shiva, like the cross of Jesus of Nazareth, your symbol of release also carries within it a grounding reminder of how we may be tied to the seeds of our own destruction.







Oh fount of news and bringer of delightful entertainments! Staring at you, oh graceful conduit, I feel that, though it is television for whom you serve as messenger, it is I who am delivered.



With your regal, unmistakable stature proudly erect on the skyline, you give a unifying face to the bold uniqueness of San Francisco. One breath-stopping glance at your serendipitous beauty reminds me that my life is bigger than the sidewalk just ahead of my feet, and that beauty is there to be noticed and created, even if it is not obvious. I am torn from taking my life for granted every time I hold your pragmatic glamour in my gaze.



Oh muse! Your likeness beams at me every time I return to this cozy, inspiring sfØ cyberhome I have curled up into. You are there, wrapped in your angora fog, both symbolizing and looking down tenderly upon all the life-affirming adventures that this sfØ has welled up in me.















I want the entire city to be sanctified with this joy-seeking inspiration whenever they chance upon the radiance of your flashing smile.
