September 21st, 2008 12:00 AMHere's Sophie, who doesn't especially approve of being a model.

I always enjoy the praxis writeups that walk you through how you did it. In this case, it wasn't terribly hard, but still fun.
First, I needed wings to attach to a bunny. How to do that? Then I remembered that rongo rongo (my wife) has hairbands, so that seemed an obvious mechanism.
After trying my hand at drawing wings freehand, I realized I needed help.

So I asked Pleiades (the dragon), Edna (the cthula) and Spin (the cthulu) to pose for me. They were happy to help.

After that, it was pretty easy to use some colored manila folders and a hot glue gun to make a wing hairband for rabbits. And remember, I'm not just the founder, I'm a member, too. No wait, let me check my notes...

Then it was time to attack the vegetable problem.

Rongo rongo cut up all the carrot coins. I tried to see if my clever designs with vegetables would work. Gems cut from peppers didn't work, but the celery weapons, green pepper shields, and yellow pepper treasure chest worked out pretty well, I think.

Then it was just a matter of convincing Sophie not to squirm too much. Fortunately, rongo rongo is an expert bunny handler.

And then it was time to take lots of photos.
And for those who walk uncautiously into caves littered with the bones of large creatures and hear the unmistakable sound of carrot chewing, this... this may be the last thing you ever see.

I have Plans(TM) and we even got some supplies for it. We were going to work on this on Sunday, but then we were distracted by the evil and nefarious Sunday Afternoon Nap, so that plan got nixed.
Fortunately, this Sunday should be after the Interregnum. :)
Of course she doesn't approve. I hear her voice clearly in my head, "For this, you will be dead before nightfall."
*grin* Yay, someone else caught the reference. :D
baby, I have a close personal relationship with the reference!
No seriously. I don't like to name drop so much so I'm white-texting this, but... Sharon and her husband Bill are friends of ours. Blue Tulip and I co-designed--and she actually screen prints--the t-shirts they sell. We have the first author-signed copy of the book. We know disapproving rabbits.
Oh?
If I had to guess, I'd say The Big One Who Picks Me Up.
Cthulhu! This is cute on so many different levels! ^_^
Oh, and this isn't actually my own creation. I think I said that somewhere, but well, I wanted a placeholder image during the Interregnum.
Hmmm now to create something myself for the next era, hmmm.... *twiddles fingers* hmmm I wonder if I can get away this idea, hmm... :)
