This woman had ordinary tennis shoes on. However, she showed extraordinary willingness to contort her limbs! Observe the way she turns her elbows and wrists around. Neither one of us were able to do that and we tried for a little bit--she held it for a while, too. We wanted to honor her agility by photographing her shoes, which looked very crisp and new.

Eleanorest: Daddy what her going?
Burn Unit: what?
Eleanorest: What her arms?
Burn Unit: Oh. That's pretty neat, huh?
Eleanorest: yeah...
Burn Unit: (snaps pictures) Do you like the shoes?
Eleanorest: (ignoring question, reaching for camera) Eleanor's turn?
Burn Unit: I don't think you can do that, baby.
Eleanorest: No Eleanor's turn! I take picture.
Burn Unit: Oh. Uh, yeah. Sorry. Yeah.

Parents sure are slow on the uptake sometimes! Dad is still impressed with the elbow situation, Eleanorest is satisfied that things are sufficiently documented, doesn't mean "can I try doing that with my elbows," and is plenty ready to move on with viewing the world. C'est la vie!
