I have a problem that I think many share.
I have spent too much of my life making myself miserable. I have spent too much of my life being depressed and lonely and under-appreciating myself.
It stops now.
Declaration of Mental Health and Happiness
I am allowed to like who I am even if I'm not perfect because I don't have to be perfect to be pretty damn awesome. I'm allowed to enjoy my life and be a pessimist. I am allowed to have people close to me and be friendly with strangers and kinda hate the human race. I am allowed to be happy.
In order that this Declaration might endure I establish the Inner Self Defense Corps, an organization for the defense of the Declaration and the furthering of it's agenda. The motto and battle cry of the ISDC shall be "Nos libenter epulor super illos qui volo ut opprimendum nos". I further give myself a brevet to Major.
Oath of Service
I, Misanthropology, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Declaration of Mental Health and Happiness against all enemies, within and without; and that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion. I will make time for myself without guilt. I will be proud of my accomplishments, no matter how small. I will be silly and when I laugh at myself I will be glad, not embarrassed, to have others laugh with me. I will try new things. I will do things I want to do, without looking for excuses. I will strive to be the best version of myself, but I will never demean or diminish the version of myself that I am. I will well and faithfully discharge these duties of the office which I am about to enter. So help me.
