awesome. all that remains is deciding whether or not to warn the next one of what they're in for....

That is wrong in the way of kosher laws prohibiting cheeseburgers and I love it.

I love that tree.

Sounds like a really memorable and rewarding adventure, you guys. Also storm kettles are absolutely perfect for tea, and you have reminded me to pick one up before the camping season for wimps starts around here. :)

This is every bit as fantastic as I imagined of the task and more. I'm so delighted by the effort in the costume, and the fact that a random passerby understood the lore and went with it anyway.

(A secret: I have been stingy on votes lately because I knew this was coming and it was going to be epically awesome. And it WAS)

While this is the first time I got dragged out to cosplay, 'goddamned cartoon character' is very much tongue-in-cheek, trust me. I'm a huge fan of comics that touch on deeper stuff, and that series manages to do so far more than one can generally expect of Golden Age roots. My biggest soft spot in that and any other medium is for 'villains' with a cause of their own, something not Mindlessly Evil, but just a bit skewed on the moral compass to make one stop and think. Hence Ms. Isley, and a good fifty hours sewing fake leaves onto a bodice and missing my days in theatre costume shops.

Also yay understated ivy (I'm always interested to see people's take on it). I really like that one. And you and your Harley look like you're having a ton of fun.

I'm not sure why it's proposed as partially BIOME, but I want to do it anyway! (I can be tempted out of the green and black!)

I am a sucker for abandonments. gorgeous. (and yet in the interest of story and a pun on the task, I echo susy's question)

I'm assuming you're on about the Poison Ivy one :) I got cajoled into dressing like a Goddamn Cartoon Character by a bunch of friends wanting to do a bat-villain theme for a con, on the basis that if I was going to be a misanthropic plant-loving redhead with a love of comics, I might as well do a take on that character once. It was a lot of fun, and said photographer is absolutely fantastic at portraits and old friend and if I'm going to steal his work for my player photo on some game, the least I can do is pimp him. Which I have done a better job of in the description now.

(I get the impression it's not 'cheating' on the task if you only engineer the first picture yourself. y? )
