Today I took neither, nor slept in neither. Instead of doing the whole trip to be there (one floor down from the general director´s office in case he suddenly needs some substance to add to his hot air-filled interviews) I called my boss´ secretary at 10 am, from my bed, clad in ninja black pajamas. I didn´t apologize nor explain or even informed her that I was not going to be seen there today. That part was good.
As for the whole not-going-to-work day, well, it wasn´t spectacularly great. Kind of sad that not going to work isn´t the recipe for instant, raging happiness. Or not anymore.
Yeah, ok, I know. The recipe is to DO STUFF. Go and DO what you can´t wait to tell your friends about. But sleep well first. Where is my Pluterday?

Ah, sorry, I didn´t realized the reference was that obscure: Pluterday
You know, when I saw the first task of the era, I thought to myself, "wow - that's a terrible task."
But actually, I've rather enjoyed reading them. A brief glimpse into the lives of people whom I sort of know, but don't really know very well, is really interesting. I'm not sure if it would be interesting to someone who doesn't know anything about Susy or Ink Tea or Rongo Rongo, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be interesting to someone who knows everything about them. But, for those of us in between, these are a lot of fun.
I've never considered the idle small talk wave part of a commute before, but yeah, it is.
I'm trying to introduce "idle small talk wave" into my personal lexicon.
Gasp! Three points vote?!!! Sheesh, man, I am floored. Why oh why so much generosity in this times of votes scarcity?
I´ll take it as a zero-day present :)
Why do we feel the need to dress to kill in our sleep? I wear soft gray myself, but I still feel very ninja-y. Incidentally I recall reading that you can legally kill in your first 5 seconds of waking up.
"But sleep well first."
Also, what is a Plutterday?
