Tourist Attraction by Tøm, Adam
June 21st, 2007 10:07 AMWe slowly, and casually strolled into Great Yarmouth Library and sat down at one of the many tables reserved for those people reading, or studying. We got out the plastic wallet of stuff from Adam's bag, and began.
It was difficult not to burst out laughing at some of the looks we got as we set out neat rows of post-its, each one with a historical decision on it. Then we setup small informational cards stating the historical significance of each post-it.
It was nearly done.
I put up a sign, and Adam put on his curator badge.
Finally we put up some signs with arrows pointing to our table. And it was completed.
Welcome to... The National Museum of Blu-tack and Post-its!

I thought the reactions were the best bit. Youve got to remember this is Britain where people watch drunk men urinate on buses, people play loud music and shit in phoneboxes and no-one bats an eyelid out of "politeness" so even though we were sat in the middle of a public library laughing people just walked around us, not taking any notice. Even the staff didnt give us funny looks.
I went back today and both the "Smear Campaign" posters and our signs had gone, which is a shame.

What, no notes from Adam Smith about an invisible hand?
Now I don't quite understand but Im guessing it might be something to do with my alter-ego as a classical economist from Edinburgh
Damn, that is really well done. I like the official looking curatorial clothes.
Ahem yeah .. Tom's clothes. Definetly not his school uniform
*shifty eyes*
