Lighthouse Cafe

Tom, George, Adam, Ben, Daryl, Neil and Askew meet, and get briefed. Everyone gets a list of stuff to photograph, and the limits are set out and understood. Teams are decided, and heeeeere they are!
Ben and Adam.
Team Wupro

Ben and I begun the day with a quick wander through Market Gate and down to the Market Place. Sadly the light in the shopping centre was a bit lacklustre and my camera seems to slow the shutter speed whenever we are even slightly dark. We went out into the market where the sunlight shone, it was a beautiful, blue skied day and I had the list of photos written down in my Moleskine. We both got our cameras out and discussed how much we looked like tourists and began snapping away at mirrors, stalls, streets, buildings and went on a path around the town. We finished pretty quickly so we then retreated back to the café, had some lunch, and went back out to try and boost our portfolio, some people Ben knew for a portrait, a rather sad looking Xmas tree and some broccoli. Afterwards we all met up with the others and well .. the leash scene ensued.

Tom and George.
Team Appletise.

Me and George set off, and driven by food, made our way immediately through market gates (snapping photos as we went) to Woolworths, where we bought Appletise! hence our team name. We then went hunting for areas we knew the others wouldn't visit, an area behind market gates, with the old town wall section, our stairs and a portrait or two, and Victoria Arcade, with our other portrait, and a wild card or so. We spent a while following Adam and Ben with them unawares, culminating in our 5th wildcard, Adam. We're also quite happy with our Text 2, hooray for cunning! Our favourite photo is the cannon, which is awesome. We got back to the lighthouse early, and had a sausage roll (and a Belgian bun in some George related instances) and browsed our photos whilst waiting for the others. Then the leash happened, I'll leave it up to Team Leash to tell you all about that...

Daryl, Neil and Askew.
Team Leash

Well, from the photo above you can probably guess why we were called team leash, well I'll give you the full story. We were desperately trying to find some people to for a portrait (as we didn't want to take the easy way out with just one of one of us), so we went into the 'Scope' charity store in which we found a dog lead, and Askew suggested one of us pretending to be a dog ehem 'doing their business' at a 'Clear up after your dog sign. So Neil suggested we get the collar as well and then volunteered to be the dog. After having completed the rest of the challenge, Neil was STILL wearing the collar and leash. And that's when everyone else found out about it.
Anyway, afterwards, Tom and Adam went off to Norwich, and everyone else went back to Ben's house. Neil still had the collar-lead combo on until about 3:30 when Askew told him to take it off.
Oh and our completion was good I think, but anyway that's up to you all.

The groups meet back at the Lighthouse Cafe at 1:35PM with 1 or 2 photos from each category and 5 wild cards each. And here's what they came up with!
Now you decide on the winner, please comment on which team you think should be considered the winner of this competition.
And Tom would like to know which of his teams photos are portfolio worthy, thanks :)
Appletise- Black and White 2

A Great Yarmouth row number. Also a handy text photo too, but we have two of those already.
Appletise- Wild 1

Stairs are interesting, especially hidden stairs that neither of the other groups will find, haha!

Hehe, It's lucky I woke up.
And, My clock must be fast, I've been refreshing for the past 10 minutes wondering what was going on!
They were in the middle of the party, I guess.
I anticipated a GY0 ambush too. :)
The rest of them are asleep, despite promises of awakening early.
And it's a good job we checked and realised we were wrong about SF being GMT-6. We'd decided to stay up it that case, rather than sleep and wake up early.
Ambushes = Enjoyable.
Your country and it's confusing time zones.
GMT FTW.
I hear that!
Shew… I had a lump in my throat for a minute there.
Glad to see everythings back
Huzzah all is well in the world of SFZilch.
Phew, I was zomging.
Anyone else see that weird stage with code all over the place?
Well Ben and I did because you had a an eppy about it over Skype.

I saw it too, was kinda matrix-y for a second there - seeing the codes that make up the world we live in...
Damn those hemispherial-rebels.
The latin alphabet deserves to be seen the correct way up.

Dear God, I actually started something that caught on! Must. Savour. Moment.
I made up a very high tech standarized way to define the winner based on an enumerating algorithm. Soo, you see, I counted how many of their pictures I loved. Very adjective.
So, IMHO, the winner is ... (insert drums here) ... team Wupro, for 5 awesome photos:
-Ben´s portrait in contrapicada (no idea how you say that in English)
-Black & white Lighthouse Cafe
-Upside down broccoli
-Number 3 on stairs
-Text on red T-shirt
Team Appletise, second place with 4:
-B/W Tom portrait on the stairs
-The sweet stall (I assume the Weasley brothers run that place)
-George´s portrait in the alley
-GY Town Wall
Team Leash, third place overall (but sharing the portrait trophy with Appletise) with 2:
-Miss October portrait
-Neil portrait among clocks
Hurray!
I loved the black and white Lighthouse too, that café is officially GYZero's favourite place in GY. Audiotour confirmed it.
Someone said who they thought win!
Adam will be happy, anyone else want to share who they thought won?
wupro ftw. that first portrait of their two is my favorite for "best in show" the bw lighthouse a near 2nd. no doubt broccoli will make you an enemy for life out of lowteck.
I don't know, this is a tough call.
It's between Wupro and Appletise.
Wupro's sky broccoli and black and white cafe really stick out. Appletise's candy stall and alleyways make me feel good.
You little punks, I knew you'd be there.
