Get up, Take a shower, Eat Breakfast, Go to work by misschraddøn

INSTRUCTIONS: Do something that you've done more times than you can count, but do it a way that you've never heard of.

I'm a practical man full of PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS!

If you want to read my previous Dressing Gown debacle, you can find it here

Right so are we ready for an actual genuine completion?! Of course we are!

What's something I do more times than I can count? Go to work.

I have a very boring job. I work for a bank. It's dull.

How could I combat this malaise?

How about going to work for the day AS A SUPERHERO!

Well, like a budget one...

That's right - you heard it here first, misschraddøn is actually one of the (many) alter-egos of crime fighter extraordinaire...

The Blue MadMan!

But shh, don't tell anyone - it's a secret.

but you can't really see The Blue MadMan's MEGA POWER BOXERS on the last one. (they've got little dogs on them...)

I love it, I love it, I love it, it's awesome.....
.....
.....
....but,
I don't think it actually fulfills the task (gasp!)

Do it a way that you've never heard of?
But you have not only heard about it but experienced done it in three different countries; on more than one continent. (oh noes!)

Please come up with a compelling counter argument so I can vote for this! Anybody.

I agree Dan. But I think I'm gonna squeeze out a point even though he's done it before, and it's pretty much a retrocompletion because it's funny, clever and good. I'll say it fulfills the task by spreading DGAD on the facebooks and getting strangers involved. And nothing that happened on this DGAD happened exactly like the others before it. He never met a racist on DGAD before, right?

Why didn't you tell us before?!

Totally doesn't meet the task.
Totally a retro-completion.
Totally awesome.

Agreed.

Upon retrospection, I'm fine with it not meeting the praxis and not getting any votes. I just wanted to tell a story. I'm glad sf0 made me want to write about it...

ONWARDS DGAD2010!

Voting for retro-completion, which is an amazing piece of double think itself.

(sigh of relief)

Hopefully I have not disqualified myself from DGAD '10.

I have both voted and flagged this praxis, for reasons discussed above.

I've done likewise, as it's my customary reaction to things that both fail to complete the task and also are completely awesome. And let's be quite clear, this really is very, very awesome.

Could I beg the respectable law abiding SF0zerians to keep the flags to "whatever number is now required to bring the BIG RED X minus one", so that people can still read this?
*pretty pleeease?*

What about the rest of us, Susy? +2

I'm generally as quick as anybody to jump on the "it wasn't done for the game" flagwagon. But, in this case, the write-up alone clearly took more effort than many task completions. And, it is a thoroughly entertaining read. You'll get no complaint from me.

Though, I've got to come clean, I do not by any means appreciate dressing gowns. Clothes you put on so you can put off putting on your clothes? What's the point? Sounds like a marketing scam invented by a terrycloth wholesaler if you ask me.

You not law-abiding now? +1

(There is something about retrocompletions of quasitasks that makes you think "this guy was playing the game already, he just didn´t know it" but I am aware that kind of thinking is as silly as to claim that all decent people would have been UU if they would have only known such a thing existed...)
The whole garment being intrinsically ridiculous is part of the fun, I think. I mean, the fact that can be callled a "lounging robe"? Although I agree that the fact that so many people still owns them and buys them is scary...

is there anywhere else I can put this for people to read? I'm honestly not bothered about it not being counted as praxis and not having points for it - but it'd break my heart if i had to write it up again, it took me aaaaages!

I think you're safe for now.

There would still need to be a few more people flagging in order to give it the big red X--I'd still hope that doesn't happen, but in the event that it does, I'm sure we can find another task for you to submit it under, plead with the admins, put it up as an event, put it up on the SF0 wiki, etc. I believe that even if it's flagged, you can still edit it and unsubmit it (putting it in your list of tasks being worked on), so you shouldn't lose the writeup in any case.

Event?

Oh hell yeah. When DGAD '10 rolls around, the whole of SF0 must be alerted in advance!

The last version of this was a cool awesome noncompletion and anyone who missed it should go check out the pdf because it totally kicked ass.

This? Is like that, only without the non.
