Information Insertion by Great President Dad

June 12th, 2011 12:06 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Insert information in a place that has an absence of information.

My first pasting ever, a tribute to an old friend of mine who passed on about a year ago. He lived well into his eighties. He was one of the first people in our neighborhood to reach out and act friendly towards our family. You would be amazed at how seldom this happens in suburban Minnesota.

I wanted to do a pasting because I like the notion of impermanence. I like the idea that the sign will be washed off naturally by the elements.

You can see it's a bit of a rush job. Whoever lives in this house now seems to be a night owl, like me. The lights were still on, I wanted to be out of there. I know many characters in this game have faced far closer brushes to accomplish tasks, but I'm a newb after all. Among my friends I'm always the least experienced, or most naive when it comes to this fight club stuff.

I thought people ought to know that a very nice man named Bill had lived there.

The house.

The house.

I use my camcorder to document everything. It doesn't have a flash. So far I've been bringing a high-powered flashlight on every task. Unfortunately, it does a poor job of illuminating this house. Though, since I am prone to artsy-ness, I'm sure I could find a way to justify the severe underexposure if I thought about it.

This is a great achievement in Information Insertion.

That is information that is not commonly available and it is really good to know.

Thank you very much! That means a lot to me! I was a bit concerned that I was maybe one of those people who doesn't "get it" but you've helped me feel good about my participation here. Thanks :)
