Boots Made For Walking by N Mutans

I decided I would limit my shoe-fodder to things acquired at Uwajimaya, a large Asian grocery store here in Seattle. I shopped around for a while, and ruled out many things. For instance, these would make horrible shoes:

Once I'd made my selections, I found a place nearby to sit and construct my shoes.

First, these made up the main structure of my shoes: plastic bins for home organization, with convenient holes in the sides.

I was a little worried, though, that these seemed not to be things intended for putting on feet. Therefore, to balance out my shoes, I purchased these, which are clearly intended for putting on feet. You can tell by the picture, see?

However, these shoes would be too plain. In order to spruce them up a bit...

That should make them perfect specialized walking shoes: now, with the power of MORE FEET! It also put me in mind of Baba Yaga, so I have added a pestle, her preferred mode of transportation. I'll get where I'm going SO FAST!
Now to put my socks on (wearing socks with shoes is only proper, especially when you have Tofu Robot tabi socks) and lace up my shoes...

I went south from Jackson on 4th Ave S, then turned southeast when 4th ended at Marginal Way, then cut over on Corson into Georgetown. Google tells me that's 5 miles. I'm in these necks of the woods frequently, but almost never on foot, so it was fun to see some industrial areas in more detail.

Thank you! I was a little disappointed at how brittle the bins turned out to be, but overall it was a suitably amusing adventure.

(Parts of) these boots were made for walking (through the process of natural selection, over many years)!

There's a lot of tasking in this tasking.
I like it.

I'm finding it an interesting challenge to strike the right balance between thoroughness and getting things done. Thorough tasking is definitely more satisfying, but I do want to limit how long I spend wibbling about with overly involved prerequisites-to-tasking.
That's pretty awesome! good work!
