Surveillance Camera Performance by rongo rongo
December 9th, 2007 12:52 PM
I was in a car with some co-workers, heading for a Chinese restaurant when someone asked me about my weekend. Of course this led to an explanation of SF0, which turned out to be excellent groundwork for completing this task, because one of the people in the car knew how to get the data feed from a surveillance camera at the back of our building. He offered to snag a recording for me if I wanted to go dance around in front of the camera that day, but I demurred, preferring to do a little costume prep and planning. I debated for just a minute whether doing this task during work hours when people were more likely to notice someone dancing around the hallway would be a good thing, but decided to go for an off-hours surgical strike instead. (People already think I'm eccentric enough without catching me in the act.) Even though I am wearing my secret ninja UoA costume in order to infiltrate the security of this building, I'm pretty sure that almost anyone at work who ever sees this footage will be able to ID me just by silliness alone.
The video is from the camera on the right side of the hallway. (I added the sound track afterwards just for fun.)

Wonderful. Lovely choice of colour for the dance of ribbons

I have to admit the color choice on the ribbons had nothing to do with me---the video does some strange color shifting. The ribbons look like a neat pink here, but in real life they were yellow.

Nicely done. Props for obtaining the tape, and for doing this in front of a camera in your own workplace. Getting into an argument with a security guard downtown is one thing. Explaining this task to your boss is quite another.
:) Excellent story, and the performance made me smile.
