Make it Soft by King of Spain, The Hammer

July 27th, 2010 10:43 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Make something soft.

So, at some point some months ago, the General, having recently viewed a thought-provoking film, had a think regarding the woeful loneliness experienced by sign posts and telephone poles. Without much dallying, she contacted me and proposed the charitable action with which we are fulfilling this task.

Skraah gleaned the power of knit from me> Skraah knitted a rad chenille postwarmer for the DEAD END sign at the end of my road> I added some slick buttons and toddled out into the darkness to deliver it.

It is quite soft.

(note: Despite my lack of skill in day time photography, I am still no better at taking photos at midnight.)

A bit skimpy, isn't it? Do you think it is still the season to flash so much .. post?

Well, to put it simply, imagine wearing a full-body sweater in August. We simply did not have the foresight to use a more weather-appropriate medium, so we chose the next-best course of action. This DEAD END sign isn't too concerned about getting odd looks, either. It has a lot of privacy.
