I too, figured I'd give the ages old tootsie/lick related question a go. However, I was interested more in the child's question "how many licks until you get to the tootsie roll center of the tootsie pop" That would take licks on more then just one side, and would involve leaving the tootsie part intact. I do believe that this is a properly distinct interpretation and thus is proper for the task in question. Also, I wanted my documentation to be pretty stellar. Unfortunatly, it did not record voice, so you have 30 minutes of me licking and trying to talk incoherently to a camera which does not care. If I can get the files to make noise, I'll post a comment with an update but I am not doing it again.

1660 - The point where the sides and top of the tootsie are exposed. This is reaching the center by any normal standards.

1159 before you can get a good chuck of the center showing.
