Clarification: knowing that it is day or night counts as having some idea and will be flagged. Knowing that it is AM or PM counts as having some idea and will be flagged. The point is to be unable to make an educated guess as to the time by local reckoning without acquiring more data or guessing wildly.

I should tell you about the time I got lost in the Manson Caves.

What? Your demigod nature doesn't extend to unerring time sense when lacking in solar cues? For shame.

I think I might've known what time it was. Roughly. But being lost in a large cave system is an interesting lesson in sensory deprivation. When it's that dark, your eyes can't deal with it, so they make shit up. And the hallucinations are weird. And sound doesn't sound right either. No matter how loud you yell, you can hear the sound die a few feet away. And time stops having any meaning at all, in fact sometimes it seems to go backwards.

Who else misses Loki?

The Walrus and I have commented on the saddening lack of Loki. However, from some limited conversation I am led to believe he will not be completely absent from our community in coming months, as the South Pole is apparently rife with intermittent personal downtime.

here here Susy!

In the perfect place to complete this task.

Awe shucks.

Let's task, shall we?

(Regarding this task in particular, so far fixed meal times and fixed satellite pass times have made me much more aware of the time here than usual. But, I certainly see Susy's point - this would be a fine place to complete this task. The only problem is that it would mean spending at least a few days without using the telephone, which I am loath to do even for task's sake. Which is to say, don't go un-retiring it for me. There are already plenty of good tasks - all that's needed is drive. Well, drive, and time.)

Don't stop using the phone (I know how important it is!).... we can task on other things.

Yay! tasking with Loki!!!

I don't think I could do this task. I would have to go on the biggest bender and wake up in a cave somewhere. Normally my time sense is just too good.
