I thought the same thing when I read this. It would be such an awesome surprise.
I love this task, why "pretired" and am I right in thinking that means it is not 0fficially do-able?
Pretired means "any task which has not been added to the game yet".
As opposed to Retired, which is "any task that was in the game, but has since been removed."
Neither of the above are officially do-able (i.e. you won't get any points for it), but don't let that stop you!
Of course, completing pre/retired tasks gains you SECRET-RED-ULTRA points, which can be exchanged (by any one of our senators) for legacy enhancements. So I'd recommend it. The 3 mirror universe groups that are unlocked when you get the fifth legacy enhancement alone make it worth the effort, to say nothing of the secret rules or the discounts on bus fares.
