I used to do this when I was i at Brooks and when I worked for a newspaper for spot news hunting. Radios are okay, but in Skid Row, it's easier if you follow the helicopter spotlights. I also found out that the only day Compton is quiet (cause I was on their frequency using a police scanner) is the day before Super Bowl Sunday.
