I like it, but if I don't get fleur after fleur because I've had an off day or pissed somebody off, I'm going to be embarrassed and I'll leave.

I accept team membership only so i can give this comment:

Now is one of those times for Bex Final-Year-of-Art-School Drive. I ain't aimin' for any fleurs right now. The best you'll get out of me is tasking par: Doin' it for the sake of doin' it, if anything at all.
I love fleurs and have a few of 'em, but sf0 isn't about being awesome for me right now. Its about having fun. Any awesomeness for now is purely incidental. Sorry if I don't live up to myself in the coming months...

yeah, I'm with Bex, that's why I'm saying I don't know sometimes I won't live up to it.
I can agree with the imposibility of living up to ourselves, I mean look at us, we're all burly as hell insane ultra tasking machines. We can't be ourselves every day. I look at is as a general attempt to up the level in the game in thoughtfulness, out side the boxish-ness, epicness whatever. Be the most you-ish. I'm sure I will be laying some big task eggs this era, but hopefully this fine group will help push the good things foreward.

FYI: I don't really consider myself "better" than others, by any stretch of the mind. I'm flattered to be invited to a group that strives to go above and beyond the basic boundaries of the task. I don't really assume that we're the only folks who'll get the fleurs, or that we'll be in any other sense "superior"; I'm not into that sort of elitism or egotism or even competitiveness.
I joined the group because I aim for an over-the-top style, which I associate with the other members of this group.
Agreed with all. The idea is to aim for a Shplank. I have aimed many a time and missed (we all have). As long as I was aiming it was a worthy attempt. The idea behind the group was for it's members to think before submitting a task, "Did I do all I could to Shplank that?" And we may not get fleurs. In fact that's not the goal really. The goal is to aim way over the accepted projection of a task.
I am flattered to be invited to join the group. As others have commented, I am joining not because I see myself as elite or being part of the elite; I am joining because the other folks in the group are ones who encourage me to do my own thing when it comes to tasking and to do it well (whatever that might mean on any given day). So, yeah...thanks.
So, maybe when we submit tasks where either a) we got the fleur or b) we feel we really went for it, we add them to Team Shpank ? And other times, if we're contributing work to other teams for specific team contests or something, we leave TS out of it. Yesh?
Just so long as I'm allowed to not aim for awesome all the time. Sometimes i'm not doing this to impress anybody but just because its good for my soul. And as an art therapist, i can tell you sometimes what comes out of one's soul ain't so pretty (but it sure feels good).
I know it's kinda against the normal way of doing things to ask people to do things involving spending precious points, but I would encourage everybody to go look at this task and take a moment to look at the origins of a name. I only feel a little not bad because it's not my task I'm pimping here.
Or Shp'ellow Shbear I think I have seen a few of us Shp'ellow shpbear a task or two!
