Tasks / Lincoln Style

This task is retired.Humanitarian CrisisSociety For Nihilistic Intent And Disruptive Efforts

Just to be clear I am referring to the player Lincolnnot to be confused with the 16th president.

Complete a task Lincoln style. That is to say complete a task barefoot.
And just to make everything completely clear we are not talking about a task you can complete inside like What do cell phones mean.

Alternatively… spend as little as a day or as much as a week without wearing shoes. If absolutely necessary construct prop shoes to enter places that get sassy about those sorts of things.

Observe… what are the advantages of not wearing shoes? What are the drawbacks?

Conclude… What would it take from a person to embrace shoelessness as a lifestyle change.

[Note to the professors: boys feel free to go at this one with a hacksaw if you must.]

I suppose I couldn't really complete this task, could I?

You could, but your head start would give you something of an unfair advantage.

You could attempt the inverse of this and see what shoefulness is like for a week. From you, this would bring out some interesting results, I think.

True...

Inverse task completions. I like the sound of that...

You could ignore the first sentence and emancipate something.

The prop shoes won't be necessary anyway, at least in my experience.

As for Lincoln doing it - yeah, try a week with shoes. The real question is, what about those of us who aren't as dedicated to barefootedness as his intermajesty is, and therefore couldn't really justify getting 150 points out of either the task or its inverse?

Oh my goodness!

I'm totally going to do this
And i admire you Lincoln for feeling the ground as it was meant to be felt!

Thank you

And while every task I do is an example of doing something without the encumbrance of footwear, there are two tasks that really call attention to that fact.
