Sound Portrait by Picø ҉ ØwO
April 1st, 2010 3:40 PMI still decided that I shouldn't use any words at all, so as to be absolutely sure I wasn't violating the "no speaking" rule. All of the sounds here "sound like me" in the sense that they are made by my body: voice, snapping, clapping, etc. I didn't use any instruments in this at all, though I did put reverb and other effects on the bodily sounds I recorded.

Yours is my favorite. I would not be adverse to musical collaboration at some point in the near future.
we should definitely collab on something or other sometime soon; however, I am frightfully unmusical, so it would probably be best if we set on a different avenue.
Are you going to come and play tag? http://journey.totheendofthenight.com/chicag0/
Probably! I'll just be getting back from tour at that point, but I think I'll be able to swing it.
I give you four points because it is an awesome composition. But I'm not entirely convinced that sounds like you.
I know this is really nitpicky, but what I expect from this task is if you played the sound to somebody that didn't know you made it, and asked them who it sounded like, they would be able to identify it as you.
I also don't know you, and maybe if you played this for somebody that knows you, they might think this sounds exactly like you. I just get a feeling it doesn't.
It sounds awesome though. So four points for you.
I was going for "sounds like me" in terms of "is made up of sounds created by my body and organized according to my brain".
I like your definition, though, and I think the easiest way to do that for me would be to use a lot of the instruments and chords I usually use when making music in order to make it easily recognizable as me to people who knew me. I don't think that would have been as interesting to people here, though.
This ended up being the first track on my new EP.
Great, my dear. Good song.
Blueberry kisses.
