Passenger Warning: This spacecraft is an experimental light-sport spacecraft and does not comply with federal safety regulations for standard spacecraft.
I say full warp speed ahead!
And I wonder what kind of sport light-sport is.
I think it is a dragon fly. It is the tow plane for a hang glider operation.
I'm ridiculously sick of people tagging SFZERO and calling it a task, but the sheer scale of what you did is amazing.
A certain someone did tell me that what I should have made was a heart with her name in it.
I voted with the last of my points. The fifth will come when I get off my add and task tonight
This is ultra-awesome, but I yearn to know more about how you did it. How did you get this land and this tractor and this sky photographer? How did you know where to turn and etc?
Some things in life are best left a mystery. I will throw out a couple of details for you. I turned "Freehand". I really did write SFø on the fender as a guide. I was a little worried about where the middle line of the "F" should go related to the center of the S. Also, had a moment of dyslexia related to which way the /\ goes.
The photographer is a friend of mine and uses the plane to tow up hang gliders. Which I think could be part of some awesome task. Sorry, about the advertisement but I really do owe him bigtime now.The field is less than a mile from Campbell Field
It was about a week between writing it and getting the pictures during which I really didn't know if it could even be read. From the ground, I had absolutely no perspective as to what it was going to look like. He is tellin me that folks from the airport keep asking what the letters in the field are for. I don't know what the max altitude that it can be read is but I am very curious about commercial airline flights. It is just off the glidepath for Norfolk International with hundreds of flights per day.
SFO San Francisco International
SFØ Collaborative Cyberspace Port
Next step: Make SFØ visible from space.
I don't think google earth updates very often. Maybe laser writing on the moon?
