Sutro Baths by Blue, Malaysian Eddy, Charlie Fish, Poncho, [BLANK_NAME]

February 12th, 2008 6:15 PM / Location: 37.780303,-122.5140

INSTRUCTIONS: Take a bath at the Sutro Baths.

Eddy:

Originally, I asked Charlie Fish to sign me up for Sutro Baths to take part in the MultiLateral Task Exchange. When I realized that I would never finish the task before the end of the last era, I asked him to collaborate with me instead.

I would like to thank Blue the Super Star Photographer, Poncho and my lovely friend Kat, for whom without their help, I would have never been able to complete this task.

More pictures here...

I would just like to add that although you cannot see my face, I was screaming bloody murder while pouring the water on my head. Of course I choose the day that I'm sick as a dog, in the rain, to pour ice cold water on my body!

Charlie Fish
:

The straight line distance between San Francisco and London is approximately 5350 miles or 8600 kilometers. So the bottle of Pacific Ocean water that Eddy sent me travelled at least that far.

As you can see in the photos below, I enjoyed (suffered) my own Sutro bath. And I've kept half a bottle of the stinky Sutro water in case I get an opportunity to take a more daring, outdoorsy picture in future...

at first I was like "ewww, Eddy!" then I realized your plan with the tub and I was like, "whew, Eddy!". Then Charlie Fish came on the scene.

This always means something extreeeemely challenging is going to happen. like pouring stale sutro water on your head. eeeeeeewwwwww, Charlie!

I am thankful to Dory

beautiful photographs as always from blues berry and bird. That is some pretty extreme bathing.

So beautiful, the perfect back and a green pitcher

The Societé Photographique kicked the bar all the way to the top. As did Eddie, who manages to be much more graceful than the birds and the waves crashing.
Even at Home Depot and at the UPS counter...

Eddy's rockin' bath and Shalaco's pix (that wave smashing in the background of that one pic was magic) alone would have made this task shplankin', but added to that a sutro bath across the atlantic, and I'm totally blown away. Thanks!

There's something scary about that first photo. It looks like you've been abandoned on a lonely shore.

Scary? reminds me of a dutch painting.

yeah I thought it was similar to a old euro painting. But I can see why you say I look abandoned.

Nice photos at Sutro. Also, the ridiculousness of getting disgusto-water sent to you to pour on yourself is pretty weird, so there's that.

Fantastic.

The photos are great, even stripped of context. And, mailing bath water is wonderfully bizarre. Nicely done, all!
