Add a colorful light bulb to an empty public socket by Not Here No More, Young Cain, Dr. Awkward, Mayya

September 28th, 2009 8:04 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Add a colorful bulb to a public socket (emptied by someone else) take a photo and see how long it lasts. White, though literally color-full, would be awfully boring.

Well, it was a boring day during lunch at school, so we decided to go marauding and find places to do away with the colorful light bulbs that we'd amassed during our travels around for other tasks.

In all honestly, the lighting at our school is downright awful. It's a travesty. All that there is disgusting florescence, and plain white headache making slightly more pleasant lights.

So, we thought we might spice it up a bit.

First was a trip to the Writing Room, where we placed a blue bulb into the teacher's desk lamp after trying our other bulb, and realizing it would not work quite so well.

And, second, a random socket in the media room.

Oh, the joys of the public rooms in an art school.

Those light sockets look pretty private to me.
What's the story?
Are those public sockets?
Why'd you pick them?

votes for nice home-made stained glass bulb, & crazy ceiling patterns

... but i Know you can be more innovative than this!

you have no excuses! no one ever has any REAL work to do in high school!

BRING IT!

Well, we left the first one specifically as a trap for the teacher.

And the second one was actually pretty cool as well. We simply asked the media guy if we could go and put a lightbulb in his room.

He said "YES!"
