Order by: date ↑ - rating ↑I was putting a boat back together. Cleaning out the engine well, putting the floor panels back in, replacing the back seat, and then trying out the new back seat by sitting in it, then my friend and I spent the last two hours sitting in the back of the boat (in the driveway) staring up at the stars and talking about life, adventure and movies. Then we took the shopvac down to the storm drain a block away and emptied and cleaned out the water and gunk. Then brought it back and cleaned out the filter and left it out to dry next to the boat, then a spent some quality time with Kado (who happens to be a dog, but don't tell him, he hasn't figured it out yet). Then I came into my home, turned off the fan, took the camera and JesusPhone out of my pockets and then removed all of my clothes, got into bed, watched Skype vomit up a huge backlog, and as that was scrolling past, I posted my photo for the day, then started to read the Skype backlog, then had an abbreviated chat with Andrew on the Skype machine, then checked the links to my friends' comments, then found this thread, then imagined my friend in San Francisco, being really sick and not taking anybody's advice to just lay down and relax and get better and instead starts rearranging furniture. That made me smile. And then I got sad because I miss my friend.
And a good way to watch the site to really see what's happening is to view it like this.
I can't tell if these two mistakes are a purposeful amount of genius or if you just messed up.
Either way it's appropriate. I just don't know if your genius is on purpose or not.
Edward. We, the players of SFØ like to be entertained when we read praxis. It is your job then to not only DO the tasks as they are written (or find a clever loophole to do them in a unique and inspiring way), but also to entertain us with the writing of your praxis. We want to feel what you felt when you did the task when we read your praxis. And the more creative you are in expressing yourself, the more we will enjoy reading it and rewarding you for your efforts.
We think you may have potential, or we wouldn't bother commenting at all, but try to surprise us (maybe by surprising yourself) and try to make your praxis entertaining for us. After all we came here to read what you wrote and to see what you did. The least you can do is to make us feel our time was well spent.
Try looking around the site at some tasks that got a lot of votes, and see how those players presented their praxis to us. I'm not saying you should copy another player's style, but rather to see what works.
Happy tasking.

Best excuse yet Mahan.
Maybe Everyday Life will continue every day for the rest of our lives.
I hear that sentiment Minch, but I have the opposing view for you. I enjoy voting, but to me it's not critical to the game. Voting comes in last about things I like about SFØ, tasking comes first by a large margin. If votes were not allowed, and only base points, I think the game would stay the same for me. It's about the tasking. Second on my list is commenting. I'd take commenting in place of voting any day. And not having vote points to spend makes me want to go out and task more, maybe it's just me, but I enjoy tasking and planning for tasking and getting out there and doing it. The votes are nice as a showing for how much you liked what I did, and I like to show same to the rest of the community, but for me my trajectory of desire has very little to do with votes. I like this new system.
Actually, do try this at home. Just don't blame us if things go horribly horribly wrong.
