Shortly after her relocation to San Francisco, Ms. Myrna Minx appealed to local team San Francisco Zerø for a list of favorite places in the city. A great many gems were offered forth. A short-notice invitation to tour a selection of these on bicycle was issued, and Sunday March 8th, 2009 found The Spontaneous (read Lank, Blue, and Bjorn) setting out to create and follow a thread...
***
As you might imagine, a large amount of Improvisation accompanied their thread-following and some serendipitous places were added along the way. They rode roughly 17 miles over hill and dale (mostly hill) from rendezvous point to commencement point (this does not include their treks to the rendezvous point or back home, which admittedly seemed rather long after the eventful day), and visited well over 10 places.
Here's the map of our route.

After fueling with atomic pancakes courtesy of their gracious rendezvous-point host Blue, we went to:
"Defenestration"
our first stop was an abandoned building with wall-crawling furniture escaping from the windows...

Labyrinth
After braving the steepest of hills we encountered three Minotaurs. But they were quickly laid to waste and with a little haste we made our way through the labyrinth. (and none of us cheated to reach the center sooner)

Cable Car Museum
The pulleys here operate every Cable Car in the city at a constant 9.5 miles per hour. Pretty amazing.

Union Street Produce Company
Although they make the Fresh Orange Juice right in front of you, we still believe they sweeten it with Crack!
Bohemian Cigar Store
Coffee, Sandwiches, Cinnamon Polenta
There's Lombard Street and Coit Tower!

Seekrit Tunnle - Shhh!!
we have plans to access soon... Tea Party anyone?!

West Battery & Cannon

Palace of Fine Arts
Where everyone lowered their fly in solidarity with Myrna's broken zipper..

Henceforth and Hitherto!

Fort Point
Awesome in the actual sense of the word. Check it out.

Pet Cemetery
A wonderful place for a pick-a-nick or simply to retire.

Sutro Baths

Giant Camera
One day Giant Camera...one day

DeYoung Tower
Which was closed! durn. this is what the bike rack looks like:

Chez Minch!
The lovely Minch fed the fatigued cyclists tea and delicious Aloo Gobi. They were very grateful.
(Minch Says: I like being the tasking reward.)

Minch Niddle: Hash Slinger

collapse!

A long arduous knotty thread was met with smiles, tea, and nourishment at Minch's dwelling. Even though some of her alleged calisthenic apparati doubled as BACK BREAKING DEATH TRAPS, we enjoyed a variety of oddly shaped massage objects.
While the sun went to rest, the four brave cyclists set out to their homesteads and were distracted by the notion of making one last visit before retiring...only to realize that we were painfully sore from the days travels and that a cozy bed seemed much more entertaining.

You shall need to come visit for a tea party then, Mr Hamilton.
This task makes San Francisco look pretty danged awesome.
The only thing that sucks is all of the cold weather gear. I wish San Francisco had a better relationship with the sun.
Now there are more things I need to see in that city.
I've been to that seekrit tunnle and had plans to access it, but my co-conspirator wasn't up for it.
(I love how much time was spent on Lincoln Blvd.)
Oh you would…
San Francisco is the beeze neeze…
this task doesn't make SF look cool… SF makes this task look cool!
The Beeze Neeze means The Dog's Bollocks :)
I forgot to suggest the renowned Tenderloin National Forest... another day

I am so, so jealous of Lank's bike, that is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
Surely not more beautiful than David Tennant?
