I wrote a very wordy explanation for this task originally. I still have it saved, and once I work out a good way to allow people to read a longer version if they so choose, I will do so. Right now I'm working on a pdf, which still refuses to preserve hyperlinks. I'll update when I work that out.

Not my pattern. Had to do a lot of research on this one, as it's well beyond the effort of just knitting my own Waldo hat and scarf. It is actually amazing how many resources are out there for amateur knitters. That and having a handy mother to get you started on the basics help.
