Documentary Defiance by Burn Unit
May 26th, 2009 3:40 PMis this legal??

looking up from the ground level at the entrance to the Gutrhie Theater. The new Tyrone Guthrie Theater is ...GInormous. Truly big. A behemoth. And I'd be a lot madder about the downward pressure its presence exerts on the local arts scene if it weren't so God Damned Gorgeous. It's like...it's a world class piece of architecture and it's Filled with Wonders. Actual Wonders.
defying the laws of physics?

The Endless Bridge. (it's actually cantilevered, so no violations here)
defying the Minnesota pattern

This last winter SUCKED and the weather this day was so gorgeous it was on the Old Man's most wanted list. I'm sure he'll punish us for this come January.
a view so gorgeous...

...it should be outlawed! (seriously, this is from the fifth floor of a theater. Not a cinema, A THEATER. It's... stupefying)
breaking and entering... your MIND

This is that view again, this time from the edge of the Endless Bridge
Actually, here it is. The real act of documentary defiance.

I snapped this photo of the set of Caroline, or Change. As soon as I did, an usher came over and said (i'm not making this up) "Sir. Everything in the theater is copyrighted. So if you could just delete that, that'd be great." In *bold defiance* of TOTAL MADNESS^h^h^h^h er... The Law...and at *great personal risk* I tweeted this photo out to the world. The show was really good. Really really really good. And that set had all kinds of moving parts and trap doors n' shit! It was awesome.
