Know That You Live By The Grace Of Others by Burn Unit

INSTRUCTIONS: We're all in this together, you know?

Prove that you know.

My friend and coworker Sarah called me a couple years back to say her mom and mom's business partner were working on this project they couldn't devote any time to and they needed someone to be a writer and they also might need someone to do some web stuff. So I went in and talked with them and did a short term contract job for them. In the winter of 2003 I said "You guys need someone to do this full time and some of these other projects." Suffice to say, I'm still with the company, long past the contract stage, and into all kinds of projects and situations that would have been totally impossible otherwise. I have a new home, all kinds of new and really powerful learning experiences, and a broader sense of a whole new world. I've told Sarah how much it means to me that she helped me make this connection and she's very modest about it. So instead, I try to be very respectful of her at work and try to learn new things from her when we have meetings and are working on projects together. In tribute to my friend, I complete this task.
