TourismZero by GYØ Ben, Tiny Clanger

INSTRUCTIONS: Find the locations of famous and notable tasks near you (this might help). Create a guidemap to the sites and place it in an appropriate place, or take at least three other people on a guided tour. If you don't lead a tour, you'll still need to test your route: take pictures, and maybe even wear a Hawaiian t-shirt.

A Multi-Tasking Completion from GYØ Ben and his mum

I managed to complete 5 tasks in one plus one unintentional completion in this little outing where GYØ were SUPPOSED to be completing Team HQ. It was far too rainy for that, anyway. So I set them on a little expedition.

The 5 tasks were

1. Leave Clues
2. TourismZero
3. Sneak.
4. Pursuit
5. Multi-Tasking

And then I later discovered I had also completed Induce Paranoia unintentionally.

I think the videos speak for themselves, just about.

PART I (WATCH FIRST):

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

PART II (WATCH ALSO):

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

The praxis photos are photos that I took, plus the ones that the GYØ team took on the little disposable camera.

Oh yes, and don't forget to look at the entire POINT of this task, the TourismZero booklet itself. It shows off GYØ in all its glory, as well as the rest of the TourismZero pictures taken on the disposable camera, you'll see which one is my favourite.

Final note: Tom, we're even.

You gotta be kidding me. Me and Vicki plan revenge-revenge praxis.

Regardless, this is made of sheer win, and you deserve every point you get.

Thanks, chap. I await revenge praxis with intrepidness, and stuff.

This is so win that this should be on the best praxis ever page.

Seriously.

Don't forget to read the pdf.

That alone is worth all the win in the game.

Yeah, I did spend a while doing the pdf, thanks for reminding me I even had it on here!

Why do awesome things only ever happen when I don't bother turning up for an event. Good job though Ben.

Thanks Adam, no-one turned up for Team HQ! It's a shame, really.

I'm sure we'll find time to do it during the longest summer holiday ever.

The gummies are pleased to have been included in this task. Why are they not listed in the closing credits?

posted by GYØ Ben on June 4th, 2008 1:11 PM

Because... *sniffles* The British gummy army were all eaten. Mainly by Tom.

(no subject)
posted by Tøm on June 4th, 2008 1:14 PM

Nom, nom, nom.

Not all of them were eaten, some survive and will soon be hitting the praxis via Vicki methinks...

The gummies have voted for this task to honour their fallen comrades.

The original plan was to leave a gummy with the folder, but the gummy seemed to be sweating, and it just made the pages all sticky.

Gummies have low tolerance for heat. It is unsurprising that the gummy would sweat.

But seriously, this is awesome!

No matter how paranoid I feel now...

This must be the quintessential anti-"playing-for-points" task completion.
15 + 15 + 25 + 15 + 15 points were gracefully neglected, plus I´d say at least twice as many points in votes that could have been colllected had the tasks been claimed independently.

I just re-read this. And re-watched the video. This is the best praxis I have seen in a very long time. Not since "We Like Your Bike" has a praxis been this full of win. Great job.

Yeah. I mean I know I've got it favorited... primarily because of the photo Ben snuck into the background of. That's just beautiful.

I'll humour you and go along with your misconceptions about favourites. I hope you realise your refusal to honour, and speed to criticise our spelling is as well received as the smell of sulphur.

At the centre of this arguement you know we're right, you have no defence.

Going through this thing again, I just love how Vicki is doing a perfect Ben impression in the group photo. The fact that Real Ben is right behind her is obviously the best part, but Vicki having looked at the picture and memorized Ben's pose and imitating it so flawlessly reminds me of how awesome Vicki was (is).
And makes me wish she and Ben (and all of GYØ) were active tasters currently.
Also Daryl is wearing the exact same jacket in both photos.
