Not too long ago, I realized that most of the elevators here at UCSB share a few things in common. Firstly, most of them don't have cameras, which really ought to be the case for elevators on a college campus (The ones that do have cameras kind fo freak me out), and second, that they all have the same style of drop-ceiling lighting rig, which makes it very easy to hang things in them.

This task was done on a bit of a whim, while working on a larger exploration to find roof access (praxis for that coming soonish), but me and my fellows, who have yet to make profiles much as I keep bugging them, whipped up a couple dozen origami cranes, lotus flowers, and other chapes, and went off the the Humanities and Social Sciences building, where i have a lot of my classes.


We quickly went up to the 6th floor to string up our creations, staying out on the balcony to make sure no-one saw us.


After which we set up in the elevator, the roof of which was too tall to reach without standing on a pilfered trash can. We proceeded to hang all 35~odd of our origami creations in the elevator.
