TV TIME!
"Meticulously taken apart with screwdrivers"
That's what we'll write in the proof
Tom: After months of pleading on Freecycle Great Yarmouth, and countless failed trips to cash generators, a refurbishing of an abandoned house on my road left us with a simple skip dive to retrieve 4 TV's! Hurrah!
As people turned up we started poaching them, and eventually had all 4 in the front garden and we sat and awaited the arrival of Vicki, and Katie's friend who were also partaking in our TV related fun. Whilst we waited we compared our prepared tools, Daryl had a precision screwdriver, Adam had a normal screwdriver and a wooden mallet, I had... a large mallet, a couple of saws, several hammers and a chisel. This was going to be fu-un!
When everyone turned up, we moved on out to the back garden. The following happened:

Which as expected, was oh so fun! Smashing stuff is a favourite hobby of mine, and I'm sure the others agree with the fun levels involved when throwing mallets at TV's. Daryl began to meticulously disassemble one TV, slowly removing piece by piece and admiring it. Adam beat at another TV with a mallet to remove the back, which was harder than expected. I pulled many wires out of the one I was attacking. Katie and her friend completely obliterated their TV within minutes, and went inside for a drink. Everyone is scared of Katie.
It was amusing when first breaking the seal of the CRT, the loud hiss of Argon escaping made Katie jump. Which Daryl frequently emulated throughout the smashing. She jumped every time. Heheh. After using speakers as bling, backs as hats and mallets as Frisbees we pulled all interesting and salvageable pieces aside, and began to clear up the glass and the like. It was easier than expected, I have a new respect for my Hoover.
We sat around pondering what to resurrect the TV's as, we'd been blinded with TV smashing fun (and glass dust), and had not thought this far ahead... that's where Katies's friend came to the rescue. Behold, TV lounge!

Anyway, we'll let the pictures, timelapse and video tell you the rest. Enjoy! we sure did.

It's a good job we did this when we did, the skip's gone today.

Very impressive!
I'm also in love with the TV Lounge. You should market it.
This task is filled with so much awesome, it's beginning to get obscene...
Special bonus points for the "shit Egyptian holiday", and reminding me how much fun it is to smash things!
