Break Bread by Thor, Pixie, Ty Ødin, Rin Brooker

Dear SFØ, there is a lot of writing here. If you think it is too long, the relevant bits for the next tasks will be big.
(flavor music!)
Pixie:
I woke up one morning, about 3 months ago, and realized that I had become what I've always dreaded: an ex player.
I've since been racking myself, looking for drive, when along came an amazing woman from Alaska to challenge me for the position of "Queen of the rainbows."
I am crazy, but I'd have to be just plain boring to pass up an opportunity to duel with such an amazing and glorious hero as Rin. Thus the rainbow duel was born! We each chose norse Gods as our seconds: Rin chose a friend named Thor, and I chose the wondrous being that is Øden and we swapped yummy dinner recipes.
Our meeting consisted of three important tasks: dinner, magic, and plotting.
Firstly, we swapped recipes: I gave Rin my coveted and secret mac and cheese recipe which has gone though a few years of refinement. Rin gave me a yummy chili recipe. They broke corn bread and we broke tortillas. It's fantastic to talk to talented interesting people and made for a delightful night.
Secondly, we played magic: Each of us had a white deck and a black deck on our teams. Ty and Rin were the black decks, Thor and I were white. They won. I took notes for next time.
Thirdly, we figured out the framework of our duel to decide who is more rainbow. We will do one task of every color, starting with this one collaboratively as red. Next is an HC task, then Biome, SNIDE, Bart PA, C.E. and U of A. If we need a tie breaker, we will do one colorless task. One task is to be done by our seconds.
Rin and her second won magic, but I was the most rainbow so I consider this one a tie.
Our next task is dead drop, and will be done by May 14th. I hope Rin brings her best, because we have more then one trick up our sleeves.
Rin: I'm back in with a new player named Thor as my second and partner in crime. I have challenged pixie and her second Odin to a duel for the rule of rainbows. We met up to accomplish this task and set up the challenge.
To accomplish this task right I felt that it would only be proper to share food, but thanks to the distance that wasn't an option. Instead we traded recipes for our favorite foods. She revealed to me a secret recipe for mac'n'cheese which I found very special because I've never once in my life had homemade mac'n'cheese. I traded it for my simple but effective chili recipe. Now I offer it to all of you.
Rin's Mom's Chili:
1 pound of hamburger
half a white onion
2 cans kidney beans
2 cans diced tomatoes
3 tablespoons of chili powder
Salt and pepper
Brown meat well in a large pot with the onions then throw in the tomatoes and bean and chili. Cover and simmer for an hour stirring a bit once in a while. Salt and pepper to taste and simmer a little more. Enjoy.
We found our that all four of us enjoy playing Magic The Gathering so we had a showdown before business. It was a two headed giant game with a black deck and a white deck on either side. Thor and I won that part of the match. I do admit that pixie brought more color to our table. my excuse it that it was too hot for my hoodie and hat after all the cooking. Watch out for our next step to be posted next weekend.

This inability to choose a single hue and stick with it is going to lead you down the path to ruin. I find your lack of focus... disturbing.
This smells of future excellence! You know - the kind of aroma wafting out of an oven before a good meal, or the fresh grease on your machinery before a robot deathmatch.
And Queen of the Rainbows is a title we all should be competing for.
