This task contains some adult themes. Nothing too shocking, but if you're under 18 go away.

I love to wander and explore, so this task really spoke to me. I decided to walk around and find the darker, more notorious sides of the neighborhoods where my temporary homes were earlier this year.

I started at the Damrak, the main street in Central Amsterdam.

While exploring, I find many "coffeeshops." Bulldog claims to be the first one.

At some point I came across Amsterdam's version of 'Moulin Rouge'

More vice!

One of the many canals I crossed. Notice the red neon lights along the streets.
Here's a picture of one of the many shady red light alleys. They don't take too kindly to photography. The moment i took this picture I was accosted by an angry pimp. He jumped in front of me and tried to grab my arm. Then told me to leave.

In the Netherlands, money does grow on trees!

"Deepest, darkest" : FEBO
While literally the entire rest of the world has come to realize that automats are an awful idea, they still thrive in Amsterdam. FEBO sells some really gross stuff.

I wasn't able to find too much sleaze in Paris, but I got a picture of the best neon sign ever. Sex Os!!

It was just by chance that I wandered by the legendary Moulin Rouge! People were lining up to pay the 90 euro (roughly $135) entrance fee.

Vote for successfully capturing the feel of the red light district at night. Particularly the way it combines the seediness of what they sell with a cleaned-up movie-theater-marquee image.
